    3mbps down 256k up
    $40 to $50 cable
Yes, need more up, wouldn't mind fast down too, but up is a bit slow....

    Question:

    Would you trade 3,000/256 for 1,500/900 ?

The cost is about the same but cable uploads is slow versus the DSL offered here.

Thanks for any input on this.

512kbps down (that's the service I'm paying for but I actually get 400) and 128 kbps up.
    I pay U$70 per month
    I NEED MORE SPEED!!!!1!1One1

I would, since I spend a lot of time uploading files to servers.

Yeah, after 2 months in my new place I can ditch the telephone cable and dial-up - now have ADSL Max, supposed to be 8MB a sec. More like 2.5 but anyways, much better than 56K. Got static IP and unlimited bandwidth so I'll have to get my homeserver going soon... Hook up Roomba with Asterisk and ring home to tell the vacuum he can start doing its thing :)

So, with Broadband I can now be on DP in the evenings as well!

I voted, but I voted the wrong one .. I have much more than 4 Mbps ..

56 Mbps metropolitan (for any bit coming from servers hosted inside Romania) and 6Mbps external (anywhere else in the world).

    Unlimited traffic. Fiber optics. Dual.

That's an interesting set-up, though it would require big ISPs to have their datacentre inside the country to be of any benefit. Do they give you a breakdown, roughly, of the results?

We have Euroweb, Gts Europe, Rdsnet and some other key players, which own their own national fiber optics networks.

Most of them have peering amongst them.

Basically, 95% of ROmanian websites are hosted at Romanian ISP's on Romanian IP's.
