I just started a new CPM campaign and was wondering when I can expect to see my ads live. Is it instant? If so I should raise my CPM because they are not showing. Knowing google I will wait until tomorow :)

20 minutes or so, don't raise your bid, wait a day or two then raise it a little bit....keep doing this until your ads reach the first page.
Raising the bid slowly gives you a better click through percentage ( providing your ad is good) and will place you higher up for less money.

    This is not so true.

Any content targeting campaign can take up to 4 business day to be approved. Can take 1 day if you have very Luck.

Also is very rare to have impressions when you pay only $.25 per thousand if this is the case.

look to a lot of sites (I normally begin with 200 sites and use google to ad your sites too, not only the site tool), Wait to your ads be approved to begin to increase the bid

Sorry I should have been more specific. I was talking about search ads......I never use content ads as I have found them to be expensive as they rarely convert.
I guess it depends on the subject though.

    Hi Cyclops,

CPM campaign is "Site targeting campaign" only so he is talking about content targeting.

You should use content targeting. activate the saparate content biding and pay a less bid for it and increase your traffic.
