If you see megabits you have to divide by 8 to get the true value...

Our connection here in the UK is 2mb Down / 256k Up... Which is garbage of course but the UK seems to be years behind everyone else, and WAY TOO EXPENSIVE....

I take it you havn't been on the internet very long. Go back to 1996, and you'll really cry about internet speed! ie, a measly 14.4/28.8K.

    1.2 megabits per second
    Communications 1.2 megabits per second
    Storage 140.4 kilobytes per second
    1MB file download 7.3 seconds
    Subjective rating Good

Bah, and here I thought 1.2 megs was great!! Time for an upgrade!! :D

I'm on a 100Mbps connection. I'm in Seoul, South Korea that's why. I tested it and I realistically got 50-60Mbps. Of course, now I'm on a wireless so my speed is even lower but Internet in South Korea is amazingly fast. I get faster speeds surfing U.S. Web sites than when I was living in the U.S.
