How fast does Google crawl and index pages?

I just made a blog post on my WP blog and in one hour it was indexed by Google. Is that a good thing?

That means your blog is well optimized. Fast indexing is always demanded by everyone. And if you get this, you are the lucky one.

The Google crowler is a program which crowls at all the time so it would be very good for site to be indexed quick.

That is pretty good. Means your site is looking quite trustworthy in Google eyes. Keep it up and you'll be indexed almost instantly after every post just like the big dogs.

 

It's good but who cares if it's 10 or 100 minutes? If it's not more than few hours I think it's good
If you post every day for sure Google will come very often to check

 

Heh, my main site can take up to 2 weeks to get indexed. But then, I update it only a few times a year.

 

If you have a link on a heavily indexed site your site will get indexed quickly, without any links it takes google a few days to find your site. I just registered a few domain names and a few days later the googlebot showed up so it will happen just takes time

I Just Heard About To My Friend That Do Submission In High PR Social Networks Like "ZEBLOG" and Submit 20 to 25 Posts Of Your Link, Then Google Will Index Your Page Under 24hrs.

But I Didn't Try This By Myself. So Try And Do Reply, If It'll Give u Good Response I'll Try It Too

 

The more often you update your blog, the more often google will know to come and visit you and so your index times will reduce. But still, one hour is pretty good (although WP blogs tend to get indexed pretty quickly anyway).

 

Currently on my WP blog articles can take seconds to minutes to get indexed into google. Though the googlebot has crawled the site 1630 times in the past 4 days.
