I think the first time I wrote a 300 word article it took me just as long if not longer! Keep working at it and just figure out ways you can cut down on idle time and be writing more. If that means putting research first then spend more time doing that because you'll know what to write about and get the writing part done comparatively quicker!
From a purely technical standpoint, I type 100+ WPM. That's just typing, not creating. So depending on the subject matter, a half an hour isn't outlandish for something I am familiar with and if it isn't depends on how much I have to research to learn a subject matter.
When you do your research do you also count the number of hours of then add the actual writing of the article? lets say you do the research in 1 hour then 1.5 hours on writing the article?
Well, I personally started writing online somewhere around 5 years ago. Through time, both my writing speed, but also the time which is needed in order to do some research and actually come up with content has greatly improved. A 300 words article would take me around 1-2 hours then, whereas it only takes around 30-40 minutes if I'm dealing with a difficult subject, or even around 15-20 minutes if I know what I'm talking about and don't need to get much research done. So... the more you write, the less it will take you to get the research done and to type the actual article.
It depends on the topic. If it is something I specialize in it only takes me half an hour. I am assuming you are asking about the entire process (research, writing, and editing). I could write a 300 word article in 5-10 minutes because I type fast. However, it would not be worth anything unless I spend the extra time researching and editing.
I envy you all.. wanted to write that fast, well of course w/o jeopardizing the quality. As you all have said it takes practice for one to write fast. Hopefully in the future I can write that fast. Thank to all of you.
20 minutes of so ... but I don't focus on those short posts anymore and on top of that, I tend to focus more on the quality of the articles and getting the message across.
20-30mins if I know the subject, add 10mins if I don't know the topic. Best advice I can give you is do an article like this. Ask a question Answer the question finish off the article with a small recap
It really depends on the subject. If it's a subject you are well informed on or passionate about, you can write it within 20 to 30 minutes. However, if it's a subject that requires a little bit research, then you may be looking at 45 minutes.
Good idea to draw attention readers. I think it helps visitors stop by and spend more time on yours contents.
In my case, it depends on the topic and the amount of research that I have to put into it. If it is a topic that I know about and have a lot of ideas regarding, then I can probably type up a 300-word article within 15 minutes provided that I am not distracted.
Hi fellows. I think i depends on what kind of article. If you're running a blog just to share your experience for example, you can't run a search for that. You'll need to be inspirated, concentreted... To write tutoriel, i take about 1 hour and 2 for a self improvement article. And we shall also add the time used to create or design photos for illustrations... Thanks
I normally write 1000 - 2000 word article on my blog and it takes me 2-4 hours. I have a specific format that I follow.
its depend on knowledge if you have knowledge related what you will write you can do it with in 30 mints, other also factor ON depend like writing speed and your (PC) SPEED,etc Thanks,
Interesting question for most of new copywriters. Yes, if you are following the free writing style, it would take more time Try Article Writing Template, it means you need to make a layout for the whole article Example: 1. Introducing 2. Main part Main sub title 1 ...some text... Main sub title 2 ...some text... main sub title 3 .. some text.. 3.Conclusion Then, the writing task must be more easier, just complete the detail content as you have the full structure for the article ready. Fun writing!
For me, it all depends from inspiration. Well, technically, this practice and technique http://www.ratatype.com/learn/
