LOL, you have moved out of the one finger typing. But you will just keep gettin quicker with the more time you spend on the keyboard. I started finger typing and im sure a majority of people on here did aswell.

By next year. You will hit 80 words a minute.

I can do 40-60 words per minute no problem.

I know some colleges require you to type over 100 words per minute to pass the exam to become a secretary. Our school secretary types 150 words per minute.

Well, I can hit the keys pretty fast, but if I would do it without making mistakes then my speed would be around 30 to 40 words per minute I envy those who can type fast. Maybe I am dyslexic?

Geeky types like us can usually get a few sentences out very quickly but couldn't type a full page at a consistent speed. We're too used to stopping, testing, checking, formatting our code so we don't have the practice at concentrating and typing full speed. Few typing speed tests actually test for fast copy typing skills.

Forget speed though, how many actually 10 finger type? Few guys I know, no matter how fast they might be, have moved beyond two finger pecking!

I use my ring finger, middle finger and my index finger to type, and I still type very fast.

I type maybe 90WPM correct spelling with 5 or more words. grammar is something different.
The real thing is how man WPM can you do MORSE CODE ON A KEYER???
