How fast can I build links?

Is there a magic number to the amount of links a month I should try and stay under? All of the sites I am getting links from are sites with decent PR but I still feel like if I add too many links too fast I might get flagged. Please help!

 

I doubt you can add the sites fast enough to get flagged. The search engines are looking for legit links. If your links are legitimate, then you shouldn't worry. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
