I wouldn't believe so. I've seen .in domains indexed fast.

There is no difference. How fast you get indexed depends on incoming links to the site

I'm not sure where these urban myths come from. Okay, I know exactly where they come from but I'm not sure how they perpetuate themselves.

.Org sites are demonstrably no "better" than any other TLD; they're not hard to register and there's no guarantee the content will be any more relevant. Google does not have people checking each site, they have an algorithm (bunches and bunches of them actually) that sifts and sorts and grades; why would they make their lives harder by creating another branch on the algorithm for .org sites when there's no apparent reason to do so?

that doesn't affect how Google index websites. It still bases on the factors like quality backlinks, good content etc...

As all above .org sites are no better than the rest therefore don't get preferential treatment

there is nodifference between domain extension . nobody can say that the .com domain will be indexed faster than the .org domains or . info domain.

indexed speed is only related your backlink.

if a .org domain has strong backlinks , it can be indexed faster than a .com domain . (you can write this sentence 20 or 30 times more with changing the domain extension . every sentence will be true :D )

My site - www.komar.org - is indexed just fine ... and as a matter of fact, I recently did a semi-interesting test where I wanted to see how fast the various search engines would respond to a chance in robots.txt - read about that here.
