It is a bad selection as the scan machines adopted in Florida after the same controversy do have the paper backup to alleviate properly the controversy for verification of the vote when the machines reliability is questioned. The hard-copy backup should be written into law.

The Democratic FUD campaign cracks me up. If only they had used a tenth of this energy before the lost their own primary to an outsider. :p

These idiots are supposed to be focusing on beating DeMint now -- and Alvin Greene has a lot better chance of doing that than Vic Rawls ever had.

Or cleaned up the mess at MMS before this particular Rig was granted an exemption from inspections? I suppose next they might form a committee with several sub-committees to figure out how to put toothpaste back into the tube. I'm not sure which bothers me more, the corruption and payoffs which create these situations, or the bullshit, spin, and politicization afterward.

In other news, perhaps some of you remember these fine gentlemen:

Apparently, Acting Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Lorretta King had the slam dunk case of voter intimidation against these men and the New Black Panther Party dismissed during her short stay in office after the Bush admin. This is the same woman that single handedly overturned the outcome of a public election in North Carolina where the voters elected by an overwhelming majority(64%) to have open primaries without party titles next to their names. Mind you the electorate is overwhelmingly Democrat and a similar law just passed in California, another state with a majority of Democrats. In her note explaining her decision to subvert the Democratic process she said,

“Removing the partisan cue in municipal elections will, in all likelihood, eliminate the single factor that allows black candidates to be elected to office. In Kinston elections, voters base their choice more on the race of a candidate than his or her political affiliation, and without either the appeal to party loyalty or the ability to vote a straight ticket, the limited support from white voters for a black Democratic candidate will diminish even more. And given that the city’s electorate is overwhelmingly Democratic, while the motivating factor for this change may be partisan, the effect will be strictly racial.”

In a nutshell, she claims the voters are racists who vote based on race. She continues by saying they are also extremely stupid, and without the party affiliation printed on the ballot, they will have no clue how to vote. In summary, she alleges the bill will have a racist effect.

You throw in the events surrounding Acorn over the last couple of years , the President's use of taxpayer dollars to try and block legislation in Arizona that mirrors the Federal law, use of taxpayer dollars to get the National Endowment for the Arts creating art that promotes the Democratic agenda, and you'll find your nation is much less of a Representative Democracy than you thought it was.

More bizarre behavior from the South Carolina Democratic Partay:
Why bother to vote in the Primaries if party insiders just toss your vote and choose whatever candidates they want?

If they take this away from Alvin, they are going to lose a lot of black votes.

And... it won't matter either way. Neither candidate has a snowball's chance in hell against Jim DeMint.

I know Democrats tend to be stupid, but I can't imagine that they could be stupid enough to spit in the face of another of their most dependable constituencies.

The truth of that statement is the pink elephant in the room for the idiots trying to say this guy is a Republican plant.

It is unbelievable this has gone as far as it has. Just like Muslims speaking out on terrorism, Democratic supporters have been eerily quiet about this, and many have joined in on the side of overthrowing the outcome of this election without a shred of evidence. Perhaps this is what BreezeWood is referring to when he vomits out his support for a strong cental government with large powers of regulation. Can this really be what Democrats stand for?

This has been going on for a while now and there is STILL not enough evidence to make the allegations they are making. The SCDP has already held the trial without evidence, and is about to deliver a verdict after openly stating there is no burden of proof! Is this America?

I'm watching the circus that is the Blago trial and I've come to realize the cesspool of dirty politics he is caught up in is completely common place in Chicago. These job offers coming out of the Obama camp to manipulate elections around the country are blatant violations of our Federal Laws but we haven't a snowball's chance in hell of Holder actually investigating them. We aren't talking about stains on a dress, or unsubstantiated allegations of sexual misconduct to sway voter opinion. We are talking about subversion of the Democratic process in this country.

Chavez was voted into office by a large and thriving middle class in Venezuela in search of "Change" and caught up in a populist moment, and just like that, their Democracy was done. It seems we Americans have either become numb, lazy, or arrogant to respond to the horrible travesties being foisted upon us by our leadership. WE ARE NOT TOO BIG TO FAIL. People need to realize how tenuous and fragile the survival of our way of life actually is, and when the end comes, it won't be some asshole with a bomb strapped to his chest boarding an airline. It will be the person saying we need to overturn the results of this election or that election because we are unhappy with the outcome. Before you know it, you'll have no say at all and you will have to accept whatever your leadership hands you. Most of what used to be the middle class in Venezuela has packed up and moved on. Do you really want to flee to Canada or Australia when some asshole decides he wants to be "President for life?". I don't know about you, but the idea of living with the Quebecois on a daily basis sends a chill down my spine. Democrat or Republican, Greene's story should make your blood boil!

Thomas Jefferson wrote "When a man assumes a public trust, he should consider himself as public property." Modern Democrats believe "When a man gains a public office, he can consider the public his property."

There never was a shred of evidence, but Democrats don't care about evidence. They believe that perception is reality. Goebbels would feel right at home in today's Democratic party.

That's one of the damning signs of how far we've fallen. We have two publicly known instances where the White House illegally offered government jobs to change the outcome of political races, and neither case is being prosecuted -- because the prosecutors are controlled by the guilty party.

The combination of the DISCLOSE Act and the FTC's "reinvention of journalism" as a taxpayer-funded socialist propaganda machine make this future virtually unavoidable.

It's either leave and live in peace or stay and fight. Until things get worse, there's no use in fighting. The smart move is to retreat, regroup, and live to fight another day.

Jim DeMint is going to completely pummel Alvin. This is sad in a way, after all he's been through. Jim is one of the Republican Party's powerhouse candidates. Neither S.C. Democratic candidate had a chance against him.

It would be nice to see a happy ending for Alvin come out of all of this -- like maybe a job where he can continue to contribute to the political process.

What lessons do you think the S.C. Democratic Party should learn from all of this? I'd think that this is a big neon sign and screaming bullhorn message that they are out of touch with their constituency. Instead, they will probably just increase the $10k filing fee to something that works better at keeping the poor and middle class out of politics.

Here's another heartwarming story from South Carolina. It's about another one of earlpearl's "filthy lying Republican racist candidates."

Tim Scott created a stunning upset victory against Strom Thurmond's son Paul in South Carolina's GOP primary.

Unlike when a black man created a stunning upset against a white opponent in the Democratic primary, Republicans are welcoming this newcomer with open arms. Tim was endorsed by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and by many Republicans in the nascent Tea Party movement.

Visit Vote Tim Scott for news and information about the candidate. Or, just stew in your juices and label Tim a "filthy lying Republican racist." The choice is yours.

Realpolitik is the only practical brand of politics in my eyes, and all the others are just a mess. The republican and democratic parties in particular, to be specific the parties as they are represented in America and not the ideal of each party, are a mess all over as well.

Tim Scott! Oh my god! Demand a recount! The Republican party should refuse to ratify the election results! Isn't there some way to stop this?!!

Sorry, was having an S.C. Democrat moment.
