how far can one go before they get banned from amazon!

so i have been an amazon affiliate for quite some time. my room mate at school showed me the way he makes money off of amazon. lets just call this the wrong way. he is making much more than i but that usually comes with "the wrong way." how tough is amazon with checking traffic and seeing if its legit traffic? if he is making around $1000 a month is that enough to stay under the radar? if so...maybe i should start doing this! thanks!

Uh, I wouldn't recommend doing anything that isn't considered "legal"..

But What type store are you talking about. I thought they only pay with purchases so what could possibly be happening that is making money that isn't legit?

Things like cookie stuffing they will find within a few months usually, then they will just get their money back from you via their legal people.

If you make money the legal way, no one can stop you from making all the money you want.

Cookie stuffing is illegal, and they will catch it. They didn't get that big being stupid and easily duped. your friend is probably heading for some legal trouble sooner or later. In the eyes of amazon, he is stealing.

I'm a bit concerned with this post. Why are you asking if you can get away with doing something you know is wrong? There are many more ways to make just as much money doing things the right way. Don't let greed land you in court too ;)

what techniques you use? you must be careful, it's not worth to get banned from amazon just to get $1000 a month. I suggest you should think for long term success.

Your right, a quick Google Search about this guy, shows him creating the same thread in a black hat forum, where I guess he feels more comfortable and doesn't use the same lie/line about a roommate.

    Thread is here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ams/48998-how-easy-get-banned-amazon-aff.html

There are so many legitimate ways to earn money with Amazon. Amazon is giving you an opportunity, and your still trying to get over on them. Clearly you have something to hide, and looking for comfort about doing wrong, your looking for someone to tell you it's ok, and it's really not. I'm sure the fear doesn't end with simply losing your commission, it probably extends to not being jailed for fraud, and having to repay each illicit dollar.

If I can find each thread you've written, what makes you think someone at Amazon won't also discover your posts, and take a very keen interest in your account.

I can tell you that even if you are legitimate, Amazon will boot you after you exceed 6 months at 2000 a month, and they will not give you, your final checks. Everyone seems to be defending MegaAmazon here. They can be cruel, and they still owe me 2 checks (Its been a year)

Has Amazon ever sued any associates? I know it turn down many sites. But I don't know if it has sued anyone yet. The agreement says:

"If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have engaged in any of the foregoing activities or, as the case may be, refused promptly to comply with a request from us to exclude Proprietary Terms from any keyword as mentioned above, we may (without limiting any other rights or remedies available to us) withhold any referral fees otherwise payable to you under this Agreement and/or terminate this Agreement."
