Any website can make money, but generally video-game related websites don't make a ton of money with programs like Adsense. That being said, there are other ways of making money off of websites, such as text links and banner ads.
you can always make money like wyattt said, but you will have to look further than adsense if you want to really bring in monthly cash (like custom banner ads and charge for links)
you'd be competing with the only one that matters: gamefaqs.com - intense competition from a site that already has anything & everything relating to game cheats. Gaming, like almost everything else in the entertainment field, is highly saturated and not profitable for newcomers.
