Hey guys, i am going to university in like 15 days or something and my girlfriend is going to cambridge and i am going to greenwich we need to sort out some form of cheap transport for the weekends.

National rail is just ridiculous prices of £35! so that might not be a good option because its so expensive, what i want to know is how far in miles is greenwich from cambridge and also what people think the best mode of public transport would be for a student with a budget?

    Thanks
    Will.

Hey man, I'm at Cambridge (Downing) atm. Train is the best bet. There is a bus but seriously its more effort than its worth!! Often it will breakdown, stop etc!!

Plus what college is she at?

Its 58.7miles according to Google Maps.

Why don't you bike there, I biked to Lincoln from Grimsby last Saturday, thats like 40 miles :p

Seriously, i'd get the train there, don't you get a student rail card and get discount off train tickets? My sister does for when she comes home from uni.
