I should've just asked this question here a long time ago, as I've been unclear as to how to use social bookmarking sites like digg or propeller to convert to sales or rather just create juice and backlinks. I don't understand social bookmarking really to begin with, I get that it's about link building, but just from glancing at the two sites I mentioned above, they seem to want different kinds of content, like links to news stories. I have a few review style websites which review clickbank products and would love to see their links and rank increase (I already do article marketing), and I'd like to know how you all use these social bookmarking sites to do it. Thanks SO MUCH for the info, really anything would help.
Social bookmarking is only good to get backlinks more or less. Most users on these sites aren't really buyers. Therefore if you are looking for links to increase your article ranks then go for it. Try this site- http://www.socialmarker.com/
So I should submit my article or a link to an article from my website on these sites, and that creates traffic back to my site? If I link to an article on my site, it's just as good as them going to my site in the serps, no? Sorry just trying to get a grasp on the concept as a whole. Thanks again.
If you link it to your ezinearticles article then don't even bother as ezinearticles has been banned from most of these sites for too many submission by thousands of users. So yes...Try it on your own site and when you see a page rank of atleast 3...You will see good traffic with proper keyword optimization.
You don't really market Clickbank products on SB sites. They are just often used to build backlinks to your sites to make them rank higher in SERPs or to make people aware about something "special" that you have to share.
Is it cool to link to a number of different articles on slightly different topics over a period of time at the same social bm site? Does this build multiple backlinks and it's all kosher and what not?
Use socialmarker to bookmark all of your blog posts to the sites contained therein. Only submit about 2 per day per blog, or you will get banned. This is what I do, and it is god for building backlinks - and for a little traffic
In the articles on my site...should I have links back to my main site or affiliate links to products?
