How Emotionally Hot Is Your Market = More Sales

I'd like to raise this point, because I feel some people get involved in niches where the emotional thermometer isn't very high.

Sure, someone may be REALLY interested in ''garden design patterns'' or ''building a chicken hen''

    but

compared to the REALLY motivated person who wants to get their ex back, want to stop panic attacks, it really is easier to make sales.

    So here we go,

How often a day do people in your market think about the problem they are looking to solve.

Are they Hot!!! (sounds dirty )

That's an interesting way to put it. There tends to be less seasonality in some markets...and more with others that lead to buyers getting 'hot'

I like niches where there are new products out all the time. That gets people hot. Like you said...how exciting is it to buy a ceiling fan? ...plus good luck with repeat buys.

Niches with popular forums where you can go and monitor (and participate) in the discussion to see what the buyers are liking/not liking is also very helpful at finding out what the buyer is 'Hot' about.

Micro niches work well for this too because the community of buyers is small enough that you can probably reach a good amount of them if you design a great website.

Thinking along the buyer being 'hot' is a great way to find out how successful you could possibly be with your site.

    You are totally right.

I consider some of those less emotional charged niches as more of a smaller niche marketer than some of the more driving things like:

    weight loss
    money problems
    panic attacks
    etc.

Those are super hot markets that can convert like crazy...not to mention these people also buy and buy and buy over and over again which makes these markets awesome.

    Great post.

I am currently in two markets and I have to say that the first is definitely emotionally driven. The second is more of a semi emotional response. Nothing that would make it easy to sell too. That's why that niche I promote PPL or Adsense

This is a really good point. Hot niches are good, desparate niches are even better. Embarassing problems, that people turn to the internet for information are also really good. Like flatulence, yeast infections, man boobs. Also any niche with pain - chronic lower back pain, arthritis.

It's funny that you mention getting your ex back and panic attacks, because I have affiliate sites on both of those. They both get a decent amount of traffic yet don't make any sales. And I have good copy, I know that.
