How effective Ping Services on SEO?

I have a list of ping services but is it worth to my rank if I put this on my word-press site? Is it effective even there's a Penguin Update lately?

 

Pinging will not increase your rank. Just notify the search engines to check your site for changes. If you have made SEO improvements and then ping then those adjustments will get noticed faster and possibly your rank will increase faster.

 

How to do pinging activates that you have mention.I do not know how to do this can you help me.

 

In word press, go to Setting > click writing> below you can paste your ping services sites. Then hit save changes.

i agree with this member.. pinging not increase your rank.. just optimation keyword with high quality content, link building can make increase rank your web

 

Ping is used to alert the spider that the page is update or if a page is new it gets indexed by google and so is the backlink revealed and crawled by spider. Now this means google reports more backlink to your website which will definitely help in SERP.

Yes Obviously!!! But in the same time Should avoid ping constantly, but ping when your website/blog is updated. For example, if you a wrote few more hubs here on hubpages, then you should ping them to update search engines. If you ping to often then you may get labeled as a "ping spammer".
