If you like Squidoo. I suggest you build a Squidoo len for a niche. Then you generate backlinks by using: 1. article submission 2. blog directories 3. RSS feed directories However, you can NOT put your adsense id to any Squidoo lens.
I have had success with some lenses that had backlinks pointing to them I still have a lens that sends about 30 uniques a month (1 per day) which is not much but its free traffic ... I dont like squidoo too much, and I don't think it is very effective. It doesn't hurt to build a lens, but try Blogs instead.
It used to be pretty effective in the past. However after Squidoo was heavily spammed, the pages are nowhere to be seen in the SERPs.
Spam spam spam the world wide web of spam. After reading and learning about all the website tricks and games to get links, I have found using basic honest techniques are still the best instead of all these "get links quick tactics" that simple drain your time and energy. Too many of these site just get ruined by the very people they should be helping.
Squidoo is a nice way to send traffic to your already developed blog or site, as long as it's relevant and you're ranking for some keyword in Google, etc. Squidoo DOES rank higher in the search engines because it's a trusted source.
Thanks for the tip. I setup my first squidoo lens for one of my wife's blogs this morning. Waiting to see how much it helps.
I have had success with some lenses that had backlinks pointing to them but not many visiors yet basically zero.
Never tried Squidoo, but like yourself, am interested in knowing its effectiveness. Lots of gurus have been advocating creating Squidoo lens for your products, either for backlink or for Squidoo's established reader base, or both.
