    its good until you go overboard and get banned or sandboxed a little bit. But excess of any practice is not good whether blog posting or article submission/posting, google like a balanced meal :)

    Most of the links from the blog comments are no-follow.So not much use.But if it is do follow it will count. How much exactly it will count in SEO only google can tell.

    I run a couple blogs and receive extensive blog comment spamming by believers in this method. Because of my personal annoyance with the technique, I do not participate in such, and do just fine in the search rankings. However, many people believe it works, and I hope the search engines will officially declare that they will ignore such.

    For me, blog commenting is one of the daunting task of link building promotion. Mainly because it requires you to think, ha-ha!! well in order for you to see the effectiveness of this technique, don't forget to put your links in each comments and try to mention your site but not to obvious.
