How effective are your WordPress blog search results?

I don't know about you, but when I conduct a search using my blog's search form, the results are far from great. For instance, if I search my blog for 'logo design', the first search result is about Google's Analytics.

I've tried using the 'search everything' WordPress plugin, so the search takes the comments into consideration, but that just further dilutes the outcome.

What would be fantastic, is a plugin that searches just the blog post title, and possibly the post excerpt too.

Does anyone know if such a modification exists, or how to go about it?

Sorry that this won't be of any help, but this is a question I was about to ask as well...I wanted to take this idea a step further, and have search results page be nothing but post titles - without the post excerpt or the rest of the post. By default, my search results page is a mile long since it outputs entire blog posts...most of which are like 4 computer screens long.

Figured I'd post this in case someone out there knows how to answer all of these questions!

    No worries Mark.

My search results are coded to show the post title and excerpt, which is better than the whole post (obviously) although perhaps not as good as the title. I'm not sure. If there are lots of results, perhaps titles are best, but if someone searches for something that yields only one or two results, I think it could be better to show the excerpt too.

    Are you on WordPress?

Thanks! Yes, I'm using Wordpress. I searched Google for Wordpress syntax, to figure out how to only show the title, but I couldn't seem to find anything of use!

Do you know if Ultimate Tag Warrior can be adjusted to affect your search? If so, you might be able to include that somehow.

I'm not sure about UTW. I installed that for a while, but found the tagging to be a little tedious. I know it's a powerful plugin, but I've also read that WordPress will be incorporating a similar system into their next upgrade.
