Question: Does having a site linked in your sig have any impact on links as far as "inbound" links? Do the search engines recognize it as an inbound link? Any effect on PR? I placed links to some of my sites in my sig, in hopes that their ranking might increase. Will it? Thanks for any info! Oh, and by the way, yes, I click on links in sigs if I think they may interest me.
It's pretty hard to work our how much a link from a DP post is worth. The public profile pages of some prolific DP posters have a PR of 3 or 4 but if you look at the websites linked from those profiles they are often of lower pagerank than the profile itself even though they are he only external link. My personal opinion is that a link from a DP post is worth very little indeed in terms of PR.

I click a lot of sig links and blogfeed links. I click them if they are interesting or if the person posting says something interesting... I get traffic from the links in my sig, so must be there is somebody clicking on the sig links.
I notice and click sigs that are useful or interesting to me at that time. Dp links do bring in reasonable traffic. No. Not in the mood for gaming.

Yeah, I click a lot of them. I have found that DP is a great place for webmasters to collaborate. I have found a lot of great sites that way!
