How effective are sig links at drawing Traffic

Nobody has ever clicked on mine... you could be the first!

Signatures are a good way of getting traffic

 

i think it's very effective i get good traffic from sig links ...it depends on how you attract the clicks

 

I think siggy link is more important for backlinks not traffic

 

The trick is making your signature link stand out. Think about what you would catch your attention. Offer something for free or tell people what they will get. A boring signature link won't get any clicks. Bold your signature link. They definetely work. I've clicked on ones that have interested me and have bought products through signature links.

 

if the forum you're posting in is related to your site you have even more chances of getting visitors from there.

 

It is effective if you have an interesting or intriguing wording in your sig.

Don't look at mine though. Mine sucks.

 

Don't post thinking that people will click on your sig. I click on a lot of sigs purely out of interest of how someone runs their site and their design etc, never interested in the actual content.

Use sig links as backlinks. They're low quality but it definately doesn't hurt your SEO ranking.

 

I have only got a few from the DP forums so far. Lots from other forums though.

 

It depends on the forum, your standing within the forum, how often you post, and how interesting your wording is for your links.

 

I get more than 10 visits per day from DP.

 

well i will sure to update this post with my review, of click from DP,

im my experience from other site i only get a small amount of click's, but like HL08 you really need to work at it, and not just stick a link in your sig and hope for best, they really can bring in a good stream of revenue

 

I notice that the more posts I make in forums with a direct link in the sig, the more hits I get from that source two weeks later. One travel forum sent over three hundred people in one week via my sig! It is a great way to possibly get targeted traffic.

 

how do do u track where a visitor came from

 

well it depends on what tracker you use, you can have hitwise, awstats google analyis ect
