I'm just wondering because I've got the domain for my key pharse. It's a four word phrase which generates some pretty good numbers: Global Monthly Searches 2,740,000 and Local Monthly Searches 1,000,000 with very low competition. I'm just wondering how effective having that exact key phase as a .com domain what really be? Appreciate any advice.
Never mind, that phase actually sucks now that I used the [Exact] search option. On to the next project...
It always helps. It might not be the main factor, but all things remaining equal. the keyword in the domain will help.
There is no doubt that keyword rich domain names perform much better in the search engine rankings than the domains without keywords in the domain. Unfortunately the difference can’t be seen that much as each site has its own way of doing seo, and to measure that this is true the solution is one.
I really don't know how many million dollar websites are out there that use exact match domain names.having said that it could help but regardless (and with all due respect to you Google snipers out there), at the moment backlinks are the best options.
Keywords in a domain name is very effective. Keywords in the domain + keywords in the tag "title" + Keys in tag h1 = this is often enough to ensure that the site strongly was on the first place in a niche with low competition.
I still stand that keyword rich domain is the best. is SEO on its onw. It has better chance of toping in searchengine
If I can purchase an exact match domain name, I will. However, if the keyword is a long tail, like extremely long, I wont bother. I think the domain name can make big difference from a searchers intent perspective. I feel that if a searcher is browsing web results and comes across an exact match or close to it domain name, and the site is within the top 5, you stand a good chance of getting that visit. You can rank a website with a crazy domain name for anything. All you need to do is have relevant content, and a proper back link profile.
