I was wondering how effective are links from directories and article sites for improving your sites position? All of my link backs contain the keywords I am targeting. Or is thier weight so low that it doesnt make much difference?
There are lots of directories on the web and if you submit your site in a directory which pages are not indexed, then there is no use and there are lots of such directories whose internal pages are not indexed and the links which are there on non indexed pages; they are of no use...but if your site is linked on indexed and good pr pages of the directory then definitely they will help in getting good SERP. As far as links from Articles are concerned, if the content of the article is really very good then it can give you some clicks(as it is giving for my blog) as well as a good back link. If the same article is submitted to lots of article directories, the importance of the link will go away. So it is always better to post your article in one directory. Thanks...
Initially, having one or a few author resource backlinks on article directories, won't do you that much good.... but if you write something good that is good and that people want to use, then your backlinks will grow exponentially, because more and more people will publish your article.
