How easy would it be to get a keyword with 74000 results to top 10 google?

Googles unpredictable at times... I'm having trouble ranking for a 90,000 results keyword, with 600+ backlinks now.

I was able to jump in six weeks a new free url (taken from a partner of this forum) with a kw results of 12Million to first page google (1st in MSN), and all with resources from this forum. I think didn't cost $20 for all combined services.

Here is what I did:

1. Keywords in the domain name (Site in my signture)
2. Upload a free php link directory to my server with this url
2. Ordered a set of manual directory submissions back links (I ordered 300 from multiple ranks at around $15 cost from this forum partners)
3. Tag your domain in top social networks, (I ordered manual submission in around 50 from this forum partner at $3)
4. Use the url in my dp forum signature
5. Placed a link from a few of my blogs to this directory

I did all this as a test and it worked. Already placed a thank you post in the general business forum here.

I think it will do better if you can use some good pr back links from forums or directories as DMOZ. Also create a blog for this niche with frequent posts and will be very helpful for your purposes.

All those services I used, can be done by yourself at no out of pocket cost, but is quite time consuming.

I think is a very low cost approach for perfect new domain jump start.
