[offtopic] How many of the people bashing phpBB have actually spent any time administrating it? I'm an active admin on both a phpBB forum, and a few vBulletin forums. From my experience, phpBB is actually easier to use, easier to administrate, easier to alter, and faster than VB. It seems to me that people have a false notion that VB is the most superior forum software simply because it is industry standard. This is the same mentality that has made crap like Windows, ProTools, and Google dominate their industries, when there are alternatives that are equal to, or better than the "industry standard." Just because everyone's jumping off a bridge, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. [/offtopic]
But everyone knows that vBulletin is better and cleaner to use. By clean I mean the templates are better usually for vB.
That was my whole point. Everyone knows this not from experience, but because they heard everyone else saying it. I agree though, the templates are better for vBulletin. Still, I've made some private phpBB templates, and they honestly take no more than an hour from scratch to make something that's amazing. Same with vBulletin. Just stick a talented designer/developer on the job. Using stock/purchased skins is undesirable anyway. Get something unique.
There is so much more here than site point. But one thing site point has is the bidding system for auctions. I think they should have that here.
Who's morgan? Apparently he was only the second one to sign up after Shawn - maybe it was Shawn himself
