Well, when it started nobody knew about it and there discussions were boring. What else do you expect?
Interesting to note that members 2 and 3 have low post counts despite how long they have been registered and still being active members.
Man what I wouldn't give to go back and see DP during its heyday. I wonder if members thought and acted different than they do today. I mean, that was over 4 years ago, they must have had a completely different outlook on life. It must have been a really special time to be alive.
great find! just reminded of my old noob days lol DP has grown considerably in 4 years.. will do more!
Having few good members at the start will do it, even if it's just 10, as long as they come back often and express interest in what they do, newbies will read, get attracted and sign up, thats how. But you really can't look at a forum this old and ask "how did it grow?"
It's really hard to grow a forum. Indeed, Shawn and the rest really did put in incredulous amounts of effort for the booming community today.
Before 2 years when I joined there were about 37398 members and now the member count has simply trebled... No wonder few years from now it may have double the member size as of now...
