How doI look for A List Bloggers?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by mncpgroup, Jan 15, 2008.

I am starting a portal & social networking website. Would like to find A list bloggers to help PR the site? Where and how to do it?

I am doing some incentive programs to reward the bloggers.
If anyone can suggest some ideas on the incentives i can give the bloggers, that would be good too?

I would say right here is the best place to start. There are several bloggers here, I personally own several. As for a specific list, i don't think you will find one.

You should check out the Content Creation section on this forum, a lot and I mean A LOT of bloggers over there that could help you out.

The only way that comes to my mind is to use Googles Beta Blog searcher to search for a niche you are interested in and then get the names of the bloggers from their websites. Very time consuming. And if you can spend some money, why not go to the sales section of DP and put up a thread which is willing to pay $5 for anyone who can provide you with a list of 10000 blogers.

In the end you pretty much may have to do the leg work yourself. The more you are involved in the blogger community, the more knowledgeable you become about the A-list blogs.

Well to get you started put me on your list. I have some PR3 and PR4 domains. Will blog about your service in return for something at your new site ;-)

    Up to you...

Otherwise you could pay a company like Smorty or Payu2blog for good reasonable blog posts.

Not too many of the A-List blogger hang out here, with the exception of Jeremy (Shoemoney). Most A-List bloggers have their Emails listed on their blogs, or have other ways of contacting them. Yesterday, I had a discussion with Darren Rowse about how he should move to the states. He of course said that he wouldn't, but regardless, many of the A-list bloggers are very open to talking to anyone.

Um...what? You own bloggers? You slave driver!

If you are looking for top bloggers here is a list of them http://www.technorati.com/pop/blogs/
    Another place would be PayPerPost.com BlogsVertise.com ReviewMe.com

Most of the high traffic blogs are very expensive to advertise on. Let me know if you get any good contact.

An incentive that always works for me is money. :D

If you want quality writing, you've got to pay for it. Someone who will write ten 300 word articles for $20 isn't going to be producing quality work.

    This is very true.
I never could make a decision if I wanna pay $500 or more paying top bloggers write a review. Always wanted to find the best for money to spend. Any suggestions?

Top bloggers make enough money that they will jump at non-money incentives as well. Such as, unique products, customized products, and the like.
