How Does Youtube Make Money?

    Hi,
    I was browsing round YouTube today and was wondering how does YouTube actually make money, i know it gets xxxxxxxx amount of traffic but where does it's revenue come from, i can't seem to see any ads placed on the site so i was wondering how they make money of it seeing as goog paid 900m or whatever it was for the site!!

    You mean the "featued videos" that's all i can see so they must get paid a lot for them?

    It wouldn't make ALL that much. Maybe a couple of thousand $. Low compared to the traffic it gets

    think og the bandwith and storage costs aswell as staff costs to get rid of copyright material

    Youtube now uses adsense to monetize videos, you can even setup an account in Youtube and then authorize it to communicate with your google adsense account in that way you share earnings with video ads clicks, so yes, they are getting money from advertiSing

    I'm only getting a few cents with a couple of hundreds of video views, but why not?
