    Mobile17.com... how does it work?
    I am trying to make a site like this but I am just lost. I just want to know how it makes the ringtones... rep will be left for helpful info!

    their doing it in php - maybe a PERL Mod to do mp3 or Wav conversion on the fly on the server?

    It's all pretty basic stuff, theres just a lot of it, each of the services they provide there can be achieved by more than one linux program, they prolly just taking advantago of sourceforge and managed to put a service together.

    If you're more specific about what formats you want from what, and what sort of equipment and access to that equipment that you have, we can be more specific no doubt.
