I was looking over my friends webpage the last couple days: http://edited-out.com They have a PR7 and 8110 inbound links. link:http://edited-out.com When I check out their inbound links.. only the first inbound link actually refers to them! The rest have no such hyperlink (http://weblog.edventure.com) in the pages source code. The inbound links do not even refer to http://edited-out.com, how is this so? What does this mean? (If anyone would like to see the website that is doing this, please PM me)
Crap.. I ment to post this in the google forum.. (How can I delete this msg?) Yes, I have clicked on a dozen or so of the 'inbound' links.. and then view source, and then I would search for the URL to my friends site.. and there wouldn't be such a link...
I think you ment this.. I am using the link:website feature of google... Yes, I know that google 'broke' this feature last year.. (I am not exacully sure what that means.. because EVERY other website I use the link: on w/google, I can see their inbound links, and I can find an URL to the org HTML from the inbound link) any ideas?
Your search - link:edited-out.com - did not match any documents. Your search - link:www.edited-out.com - did not match any documents. Your search - link:http://edited-out.com - did not match any documents. www.edited-out.com PR0 I thoght the site URL WAS edited-out.com, so whats the real URL?
Wtf CrazyRob.. why? You wasted my life CR.. the only thing I can think of is that maybe it has something to do with the RSS feeds all of them websites have, maybe?
heh, and I just noticed he moved this thread to this non pertanent forum. No wonder I wasn't able to find my thread.
This forum is where it should be. DP must of moved it, its not related to google its related to a website.
Oh, ok.. I guess I just didn't understand the layout of this forum(s). (Now I think I do, it makes sense). Anyways.. did you get my PM on the link?
Yeah, the only thing I can think of is that maybe it has something to do with the RSS feeds all of them websites have, maybe?
Well, it isn't an RSS feed (I don't think), because none of the 8110 inbound links are inbound when I search using yahoo.
I asked him to wait until he had 10 posts before he asked for a webiste review. Why would you have a problem w/ that soapbath? trend, you can get better links information (more complete) by checking them on Yahoo!
Yeah sorry CR. I never knew about that rule.. I thought it was they just don't have active links. Soz.
