I am trying to figure out how this site makes money. It appears all they do is link to sites with coupon deals. They don't charge for putting the coupon on the system. Can anyone guess/share thier business model... tks. http://www.couponmountain.com
Not a bad question if you really are a newb and not the actual site owner It's healthy IM practice to look at sites and try and figure out what they're doing to make $. In this case it's simple. For instance click on the ad offering a coupon for "Target". Look at the URL that pops up hxxp://www.tarOet.com/gp/homepage.html/186-0982884-5785401. Notice the sequence of #'s on the end. These #'s are so the owner of the site get's paid whenever he sends traffic to target that converts. In other words he has some kind of affiliate relationship with target. Dig a little deeper. Check out Target's affiliate program. Please read the following, direct from targets affiliate page. "Target.com partners with Google Affiliate Network for tracking, reporting, payment, and optimization of our affiliate program. Google Affiliate Network is a leading provider of affiliate marketing services and technologies." The site owner has a simple but probably profitable site set up. For every company or coupon he advertises he's also an affiliate for that company. Nice. Good Luck, raycer PS: Type in Target.com in your browser and you'll see that you are taken to the exact same homepage as you would if you went to the following url. hxxp://www.tarOet.com/gp/homepage.html/186-0982884-5785401
Nice effort chucky. Don't get down on yourself Quote from legendary Alabama football coach Bear Bryant: "Don't worry son. I know you're tryin'. You just aint that good." Bear walks off down the sideline as his player is left standing in stunned silence. End of story.
A lot of time the coupon sites are affiliates. I use to own Software Deal of the Day softwaredod.com and the coupon code actually was used for the affiliate tracking on some of the deals. HTH
This is old way of doing affiliate marketing product. Actually, the site owner earn from the ads display at their site for example the Dell company will pay 10% for the site owner can refer a person to buy the product from his affiliate link.
Once you have a site thats popular you can sell ad space though networks like google adsense. This can be a very profitable method.
Yes...absolutely wlaser. Don't re-invent the wheel. Find a site that you know is making money and do what they do.
It looks pretty cool. There are alot of other sites out there doing similar business models. You have to find the one that sounds the most attractive to you and get trained on the functionality of it. Scott E.
