Hi all, I came here hoping someone can help me accomplish 2 things. 1. tell me how this site is doing what they are with Google site search and adsense even though it is clearly suppose to be against adsense policy. 2. Tell me how to do it and still stay withen the tos We are not talking about a little Joe blow site but a PR7 and they have been doing it for years. I would love to also know exactly how this is done. So if there are any experts that can explain then by all means let me know so I can implement the same technique. I will have to kind of walk you through this so you can see what I am talking about. Start on this simple page howtodothings.com/how-to-troubleshoot-the-ignition-system-in-a-mercury-villager and then look at the very top left and you will see "related ads" note how each one will open up a new page that is nothing more than an adsense result "but more like a landing page with only the related results for that particular term". "HOW IS THIS DONE and why is it OK? It gets more interesting. If you now go down to the related "TAGS" under the article. What do you know? Each tag takes you to there google sitesearch. I thought hotlinking to your google sitesearch was against the TOS? or is things like this only aloud for certain sites? I cant say they are hot linkingting the tags but they are redirecting some how. HOW CAN I DO THIS? Thanks all.
It explains at the bottom. Those are ads from another third party that is not Google. But if you want something similar, just use Adsense Link ads. Just like the ones dp uses on this forum. Each of those link opens up into a list of other ads.
ok, thanks... I took a look at all the adsense used throughout that site and well the ca-pub is the same on every thing done it all goes to them. They are using some killer tactics here and apparently Google is OK with it. They have been around doing it for a long time.
Going back to the "Related Ads" thing in the top left hand corner, the page that opens up with the ads does not contain Adsense Ads, even though they look just like them. If you scroll down it says this About these related ads: These advertisements were automatically generated to match the topic of the page you previously viewed. The links are administered, arranged and tended by a third party. The presence of these advertisements does not constitute an endorsement of the products or services.
When I click the tags under the Lean to do More things I am getting an error message, but it could be the browser I'm using
That is definitely a good site to look at for all the people that ask about blending ads. It is weird how they use italics on the bold link parts of the text ads though.
I know it says that lol.. But they put that there I think because well GOOGLE is the 3rd party. If you look at the page properties on in the HTML code for the page scourse it has like I said THERE sites google adsense code and well the are google links as its plain as day my friend. Not trying to argue with you lol. Sorry if it sounds that way but heres whats on the back end of those landing pages. <script type="text/javascript">GS_googleAddAdSenseService("ca-pub-7579606133989673"); GS_googleEnableAllServices();</script> <script type="text/javascript">GA_googleAddAttr("art_node", "919");GA_googleAddAttr("page_type", "page");GA_googleAddAttr("art_pub_d", "2010-06");GA_googleAddAttr("art_auth", "1");</script> <script type="text/javascript">GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-7579606133989673", "htdt6_article_content_mid_CATNAME_728x250");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-7579606133989673", "htdt6_article_content_top_left_CATNAME_450x460");</script> <script type="text/javascript">GA_googleFetchAds();</script>
Yeah, I don't know much about coding. I was just looking at the actual page. The ads don't have the "ads by google" thing on the corner and when you click on one you don't see that "doubleclick" redirect in your browser. It just goes straight to the website. Maybe that site is so big they have a special deal with Google. None of my websites are quite there yet, lol
That site is a premium adsense publisher. They are not breaking the rules because they can do what the hell they want with the adsense coding as a premium publisher.
All of us peasants who are mere ordinary publishers just get the standard stuff. Premium publishers on the other hand ... they get all the really juicy good formats.
