How does the digitalpoint keyword tool relate to google?

I am currently using this tool to find niches.

    http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/

I was wondering how the results of a certain term for wordtracker and overture relate to how much that term is actually searched on google. I have read somewhere that an overture word is usually searched 8-10x more on google. Is this true? Also how does worktracker relate to google? Is there a rule of thumb for that too?

    Thank you.

8-10x is very unlikely, 3x is more like it.

I believe it is much more than 3x based on years of referal data in my logs. Where did you get your information?
