How Does Site Get Loads of Traffic

    Here it is http://www.topyoutubevideos.com/

Its Alexa rank is 23,000. 83% of its traffic comes from search engines. The website is nothing special, especially when you consider that it is updated with a rotation of basically the same videos.

How can it be that this site is getting loads of traffic? Do you have any ideas of its marketing success?

It looks like they are doing, roughly, around a million a month.

Where are you getting that 83% of their visitors are coming in from search engines?

When any site has that many hits, even if it is a few hundred thousand, that webmaster is doing heavy advertising, and he is doing some really heavy advertising.

That, and word of mouth, and that's the "secret" to it.

*shrugs shoulders* Ain't no biggie. You can do it too.

They've lucked out because they have a site that sounds like a search term. If someone writes "top youtube videos" into their navigation bar, it sounds like a search but could turn up a website. I doubt they have much, if any, repeat traffic. That's really it.

By the way, doesn't that website address infringe upon Youtube's copywrited name?

It does, but the domain owner will only have a problem if Youtube complains.

its aggressive SEO plus good name, with all the craps on youtube now wouldn't you think people will want something to filter them out. Thats what this site promises with its name. Whether they deliver or not, I don't know.
