What makes retailmenot so special that google ranks them number one for most "store name + coupon" searches? There are many competitors in the coupon game, but what makes retailmenot special for google?
It's an old established & authority site with many backlinks and good on-page optimization. Other than this... maybe they have relatives working in Google or something
They are fist on the market. So age helps here. But the community around it makes the difference. There are a lot of people that promote ( by helping other to save money ) the links from retailmenot. So this helps you to be the first. However I personally managed to reach the first position for most keywords ... with not so much effort ( rather knowing what to do ). In time I'll get first. What I'm saying you can get over retailmenot
