    Hi,

If i have 1000 backlinks coming from articles (posted in articled directories), how will it affect my website if i get all of them removed in a day? Does removing backlinks, or rather articles from article directories which contain links to my site affect my ranking in a negative way? Thanks

Well that depends on which are the articles containing your links have been viewed by Google as valuable. If you remove those links of course it will have a negative effect since your website is benefiting on the link juice coming from those contextual link. If all of those 1000 backlinks from article directories/sites are looked down by Google and sees them as very low quality or duplicate content, they don't give much juice to your site hence removing them would have a minimal effect. Evenmore, removing low quality links of your site can help your site increase its authority and trust in the web. Always aim for quality links, they have lots of value in them.
