This is my last question, I promise! I am rebuilding my site and it's getting somewhat close to being ready to release, but I still have work to do, for instance, I need to add all the meta tags and spruce up the content pages. Will it hurt me to submit the new site to Google before this is done?
Yes it will hurt your website, website with no meta tags can occur problems in the search engine to assign ranks.
So, will it hurt the site overall or once they're in there it will be okay? I know they'll 'ding' me for not having the tags and stuff in place, but when I go back and finish that will that make ammends or will I still have a penalty?I needed the copy my main pages into some eBay listings, which will link to the pages, but right now my robots restricts them from being crawled, so if need be I will leave the robots as it is, so people can go to it but the search engines wont.
It is better to promote once your site is ready...else it will hurt your ranking as well as increase bounce rate..
That is what I was wondering. Thank you! I will keep the robots file in place with a 'no follow' until it's done. Again, thank you!
