Online rental software works just the same as the offline rental software. In this the rental business owner has to manage every record online. He regularly updates the list that is to be made available to the customers. On demand from the customers the owner delivers that particular service which he has demanded. At the customer end, the customers can browse through the list and can view the review and on the basis of that makes the list.

Label each dvd with a bar code. Each time you mail someone a DVD then you can that bar code and Minus one DVD from your inventory. That Database is used by your Online customers to view how many DVD's you have in stock. So, if you have 3 and 3 people rent then and you scan each one. Then 0 will be shown to those people online. Each time you get one back, you scan it back into the computer and it will +1 the dvd to your inventory.

This is very basic business practice and I am trying to figure out what is hard to understand?

To hire you someone that will program you a website and software package that will be the base of your DVD rental store, you should go to the services portion of this forum and post exactly what you need. Before you post, take the time to write down each aspect that you will need so you can write out a fully thoughtout plan of attack before you store your DVD Rental business.

    Cheers
