I had a friend who thought of Hexigo once. I thought it was brilliant. I couldn't think of a name to save my life. Where do you begin this process?

Simply think of names that have a ring or are easy to pronounce and enter them in a search to see if they're taken. It requires a lot of time and creative thinking.

yeah, just think of a block of letters you like: for instance, "hex" from your friend's name. Then think of words to make up out of that:

    hexicon
    hexster
    hexius
    hexor
    hexxus
hexican, etc. Then check if any are regged.

Pay someone to think up of ideas for your domain. I am going to start this service soon actually, seeing as how many people can't think up of good names.

    Take a look at http://www.nameboy.com

This is a great tool that I have used to find several great domains (I have no affiliation with them). Once you find a name there you can register it anywhere you want.

This tool does get addictive though (-:

I use this domain name generator that I happen to stumble upon one day a few years back:

    http://homepageuniverse.com/names/creator.php

I have used it to create at least 5 domains that I have registered.

    Hope this helps!

Nameboy is only abit good, because in my experience the databases which it searches are very out of date. I tried it before, and it always gave me some valuable domain as available...upon double checking its not available...of course.

Seems like their database is several years old at least.
