I have a massive website that Google and other search engines keep indexed very well. According to the feedback I get, my pages consistently land on the first Google page, often in the top spot. Needless to say I don't want to do anything to jeopardize that (I do like to eat). I would like to eventually turn my site into a subscription site which would require people to login to visit the web pages on the site. My question is that if I require people to login will the login prevent the indexing spiders from crawling my pages? If so, how do I allow the spiders to crawl my pages while at the same time requiring real people to login? I have spent several hours searching the web for an answer but did not find what I needed. Can someone point me to where I can find an answer?
