How does links on my site affect the PR?

    I know that the back-links increase my PR.

    But what about the links on my site?
    If I link to a site that it have PR7 is better
    than linking to a site with less PR?

    not sure if I'm correct but this is what I believe..

    if you link to a site with similar content as you,
    it's better then linking to a site with no content related to your site..
