How does google use the information they collect using Google Analytics?

    How does Google use the information they collect using Google Analytics?

    Can they use the data to find out if your site is violating any of their guidelines and then punish the site?

    Google use the data to improve their services and sells the data just like they should. They get the data because you give it to them. It doesn't violate any rules because you use their "free" software in exchange. Nothing in life is "free" ...
