How Does Google Thinks of Pages with bookmark, share with a friend, or recommend

    Hi,

    If a webmaster creates an option for the user to bookmark page, share page with a friend, or recommend a page - Does this have an impact on deciding the quality or trust of the page or site depending on how many time the page or website is bookmarked or shared or recommended the page to a friend?

    How does Google thinks of this?

    its a part of off page optimization, if you bookmark your page on various social bookmarking site or recommend to your friends in general way (no spamming) then google takes this in a positive way, this process will helps you in getting ranking

    If you are indeed talking about bookmarking a site by submitting the link to one of the social bookmarking sites, then what aileenwuornos said is right.

    However, if you mean just adding the site to your browser's bookmarks, I'm not sure if that holds any SEO value.

    Yes, it would have a positive impact for your site. Either a user share/recommend a website to his/her friend or bookmark it on his/her browser, both ways when Google finds such a generic link, it adds to website trust & reputation and Google give preference to those sites that are useful for visitors.
