I have heard that a website with duplicate content will not get high search engine rankings. But if you have a website with pictures and wallpapers( all trademark logos removed) will it be penalized. How does google recognizes images ???
They can also check file size, height, width, alt tag wording, and probably some other property data. They would then try to not duplicate search results. If you are concerned you might want to change names, change the quality of the image (to change the size), change alt tag, etc.
* filename * alt tags * title tags * file creating time * file size i'm sure that google has so many criterias like that
So if i change the title, alt tags info even change the file size. Then it will not be considered as copied content according to google ?
If you use a different file name, title/tags, and also chage the dimensions and file size there is no way google can see this as duplicate using an automated process. And if you edit the photo then even a human would have difficulty classifiying as duplicate
Eh. Best way to find copied image or audio content that I know if is a bytewise comparison. And it's just too easy to throw a byte off without people being able to tell. Maybe they have super advanced OCR like technology but even then I don't think we're that advanced yet. I think for images Google goes on popularity rather than even attempting to filter duplicate content. The real worry should be the source of the image. If it's copyrighted, you could be sued, which would be rather worse than any pain Google can bring. If not, I don't see reason for concern.
