There are hundreds of threads on this forum that can answer that, and if you use a simple Google search, you will get millions of results saying the same things.
It doesn't. It's a waste of time. Remove the Google tool bar and save yourself from an anxiety attack. Rather track your serp's. This is how the visitors to your site are going to find you
But you can reply for his post if you were know about it, it will increase your knowledge too by sharing with others and it will make also easy for him to get that rather than wasting time on searching for this again.
Based on the principle of PageRank on Google, the website that get high rankings are a lot of web pages by links to other web pages
They keep changing how they calculate it. I used to have 3 PR 4 sites - two with tens of thousands of backlinks, one had about 5 backlinks. Last time I checked, the one with 5 backlinks dropped to PR 3. I'm at a loss as to how it got to PR 4 in the first place. Seems to be very little correlation between PR, SERPs and traffic so a high PR is really only useful if you are *selling* backlinks. But its bragworthy once you get above PR 5 I suppose ...
To get PR4 you need links from sites with a higher PR. And this led to wholesale abuse, manipulation and the eventual demise of the metric. But it was the blatant profiteering that really killed it off. There are many people, still to this day, who will sell you PR knowing full well that it will do nothing for your site besides getting you banned if you are shopped by one of your competitors. It's worthless. It's noxious. It's wrong.
it's not easy say in comment you check out google webamster help that better guide you and it's also easy laguages to understand better and accurately
Google takes into account the following OnPage & Offpage factors - The PR of the linking page Whether the linking page is OnFocus or OffFocus. The number of the outgoing links on the outgoing link pages The quality of the incoming links directed at the website of the outgoing links. Historical Factor
thats a good breakdown but honestly... unless you are some big authority site that provides some sort of service who cares really? Someone up there already said it... worry about your serps (search engine results page) obviously you wanna strive for the top of page one but if you can manage to land on the top of the first few pages you'll be aight. Of course this isn't exactly an easy thing to do, but thats what you want to shoot for.
Page rank is a system of Google to rank your website. and it depends on different aspects. like number of visitors, links, quality contents etc. so its a vast subject. you have to read a lot to learn about it dude. thanks
This is not correct. PR has little or no impact on you serp's. That is, if that is what you are trying to say. PR is merely window dressing. A metric which Google introduced with all the best intentions. But it got all bent out of shape very quickly because it is so easy to manipulate. It is a vast subject. But that does not mean that there is anything to learn other than the fact that its a complete waste of time. SEO on the other hand can result in traffic and that is worth spending a bit of time on. But once again there are unnecessary obstacles to reason that more often than not builds this task into a mission to nowhere. At it's most simplest all that is required are links. One way back links that you build over time from sites which list you because the resource you are building, the site you are optimising, is useful. What is so complicated about this? Yes it takes time. But with a bit of effort and a bit of common sense, it does work.
if you do google, you can very easily find the answer. You should not waste our time and should not spoil this forum by asking such questions.
