This is a question, and I hope I`ll get answers only from certain sources:

How does Google monitor the clicks on ads? Only from external IP and cookies ? Or MAC address is logged too ?

    Thank you.

it may be automatic but i guess when your account raises a flag they check manually once in a while.

F--K , you gave me the most interesting answer.

In fact, I see you really documented your essay. But if you say it`s a 2 years old article maybe you can search for new data and come with more precise and actual info, like MAC address (is it stored or not) ?

    Thanks.

Search engines CANNOT have access to your MAC address unless they install software on your computer and then upload your MAC address to their servers.

Questions like this never lead to any good. You will NOT cheat Google's system, and if you want to try then don't come running back crying to us when your account is closed...

calm down guys, I`m not asking about how it works to cheat it, I have the Google account for more than 4 years now and I never tried to do any illegal clicks or black hat seo.. or anything else like that.

I asked because I want to know how it works, and the question about the MAC came to me when I had a problem with my ISP and I realisez that I share the same external IP with many people in the ISP`s network. The other thing is that I noticed some clicks with 0 value in my account so I wondered what would be the cause ... and if it`s related to the way Google understands the location of the visitor....

    Thanks for answer guys!

    K
