    They went public selling their stock shares and the Google brothers own a hell of a lo of stock there for they pretty much made a killing....as for the company they get money from people who want to advertise on google

    I am not sure but I guess from advertisers they earning amount of money. Example if someone wants their material in search engine that too in google they pay for it and google earns and those who earning from adsense can receive some % of it. :cool:

    there is a interesting thing someone pointed out:

    Notice how Google is actually the only place "on the net" where noone would file a copyright claim against Google, since the pages it crawls are INDEED saved on their servers. So..ANY page, including yours or mine are on Google's servers. Not enough - YOUR content and everyone else's site is ALSO used so Google can make MONEY with the help of your your content. (from people looking for keywords :)

    So let's sue them :)
