hello friends, i want to know that how does google give page rank(PR) to site. i mean, if a site have 100 good backlinks then google give 2 PR to it. m i right . Please tell me. thanks
Google bases its PR on various criteria. *Quality and amount of sites linking to your site is the biggie.. *Quality of content. *Outbound links, especially to lower ranking sites or ad farms will have a detrimental effect on the pages PR
Google does not give pagerank to a site in such a certain amount of backlinks but they rank the PR based on the quality of backlinks that you make for your site. You can gain PR by posting backlinks on those inner pages of any site that have a PR for a chance to have a link juice for your site.
By considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Refer this http://www.google.com/corporate/tech.html.
PR is not only dependent of backlinks...other factor like useful, unique and quality content, niche-specific backlinks and many other factors are also important in deciding PR of your website...
Page Rank is Google's way of deciding a page's importance. It is not the only factor that Google uses to rank pages, but it is an important one. Page rank of a website is based on rich keyword, quality content etc. Google may give page rank on the basis of clicks the website obtained. Google only updates the page rank that their toolbar shows every few months. I highly recommend you to check out http://www.webmasterworld.com
Backlinks is not the only factor that affects the PR of a page. There are several other factors that affect the PR. Relevancy is the primary thing on which PR is dependent. Your site content should be relevant to your sites theme. Popularity: How popular your site is, how often user browse through your website. How much time do they spend on you website. these factors also affect your PR. Backlinks is one of the important factors that affect PR but backlinks should also be relevant enough to be counted by Google.
Thanks for reply dears, from your ideas i know the mystery of google PR thanks for your time and helping me.
