There are a few threads that origionate from December the 10th 2007. Opinion is split. Some believe not, but a growing percentage believe that something called a DP 50 or DP 70 occurs for purchasing too many links of unrelated juice and too much PR Namely A deindex of the site..... you you think you are banned A renindex but with a serps penalty of precisely -50 or - 70 This is for the RECIPIENT! It is too new a phenomenon to proove or disproove it, but the evidence seems to overwhelmingly support it affect the buyer. Happy buying!
No one really knows to be sure at mo. A bit of turmoil you can say. I you are buying a link make sure it is RELEVANT!
Hi, Remember that "If you build a better mousetrap than your neighbor, the world will make a beaten path to your door"...It is content of your website, that is important.
Hmm, I came across a blogpost blog with PR 7 and 4 million Alexa ranking today, having links from TMZ.com and other high PR websites that are in no way related to this blog's niche. Now, I'm sure he didn't buy those links because he hasn't got any ads on his site or any way of monetizing it so what would Google do in such a circumstance? High PR reciprocal links from unrelated niche . Ooohh or does this 'paid links' penalty only come in effect if they are one way ?
Depends on the profile not the link seems to be the consensious. It is the high PR links in proportion to the low PR links, thus if the site is that good, it may have 10,000 low juice different domains linking to it. If it does not that will trip the penalty so seems to be the belief. Also I have a sneaking suspicion that the G pranksters have reduced the filter on reciprocal linking....A site that has taken my serps has virtually no one way links...........just unrelated recips.... for crying out loud
