I have read much about backlinks.. they do count for pagerank... much impt for high PR. But, how does Google consider backlink. eg. My site is: http://techotips.blogspot.com So, for Google to consider a backlink... is it necessary to have "http://" necessarily at start or only techotips.blogspot.com is sufficient to be considered as backlink by Google. Thanks in advance...
i think that this is not a problem , but in case of the www and non-www site google considers them as two different websites
You can 301 redirect http://example.com to http://www.example.com or vice versa. This will allow you to get benefits from the links to both
To be counted as a backlink it has to be clickable. Just a mention of your site's url is not a backlink.
I am a little confused about this question. Your site is a blogspot blog. If anyone links to it, it is a backlink, however Google only counts certain backlinks when searching for link:techotips..., so use Google Webmaster Tools to see the actual number of backlinks your blog has. Does this help???
