I have 1100 likbacks on google In my webmaster central, when i visit the statistics.pagerank, they show all page ranks not yet assigned I used mod_rewrite to put url's more SEO friendly like, htttp://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13 is this forum I give it into htttp://forums.digitalpoint.com/ Marketing/Link Development/threadname so thread name has not extension like html or php so is google thinking that its a directory? Is that why my pr not getting updated? please help
Google only updates it every few months. It's possible your site was ready or had enough links the last round of updating.
hmm thanks for the info i have too much linkbacks for my site in google and yahoo - 1100 and external 253 to main homepage itself but still not assigned my friends site has lower and he has pr4 PR goes uniquely like zero to one then two,or it can jump from zero to four directly?
PR can jump anywhere. Previous PR is not an issue. Hopefully you will see some good PR numbers after the next toolbar PR export.
I am guessing it will be around August time most likekly the end of August. Toolbar pagerank is updated for all websites around the same period of time. I may be wrong but i assume Google whilst conductin the pagerank update target websites hosted in Europe, Asia, United States because my websites were all updated at the same time.
keep on getting good quality related links and your PR will eventually raise up, Google algorithm to set a website Page Rank is far more complicated than just the number of links, so keep your website updated with quality content and keep our visitors happy and that will pay off.
